Take A Tour Through Minnesota’s Fishing History

As the Land of 10,000 Lakes, our freshwater fishing heritage is as rich as any!

Group and school tours are always welcome, especially during Minnesota's long winter months. Give us a call to schedule your tour and to receive group rate information. We are happy to schedule group visits at your convenience.

The Minnesota Fishing Museum can accommodate groups of 30-40 people at one time. With our facility being fully handicapped accessible and air-conditioned in the summer, the MFM is the perfect visitors’ destination for everyone. We have designed our guided tours to be educational as well as interesting and fun. Tours are geared toward community groups, extended families, business groups traveling to the area, as well as school groups. Throughout our 10,000 square feet of display area visitors will find thousands of donated artifacts and exhibits including boats, motors, state record fish, tackle, invasive species display, ice fishing diorama, and more — with many items dating back to the early 1900s.

There are "rest spots" throughout the display area and a wheelchair is available upon request. For information on group tours call us at 320.616.2011.

School Tours

The MFM is pleased to welcome school groups for tours year-round, whether touring as a part of your planned curriculum (history, art, ecology or biology class), as a reward for good behavior, or as a year end field trip. Give the museum a call to discuss your visit so we can provide programming to fit your educational goals.
